Switching to part time, starting a new job this week so I've closed off appointments until I can see what my schedule is and then I'll reopen but at a greatly reduced level.
Thank you to everybody , couldn't have made it here without you !
Why should your massage be the same as the last persons ?Stress free parking places included !
Massage sessions should meet your needs rather than be a cookie cutter one size fits all.
One of the questions I ask before every session is "What are your concerns today ?" If you want just your back or neck worked on than I can do an entire session just working there. I have one person who needs very deep tissue work so I use elbows on them. Another has a implant that they don't want to put pressure on. I can use side position instead. Each massage should be tailored to your needs rather than a set routine learned so long ago it has cobwebs on it!
I arrange my massages so that the vast majority of the time I can give you a hour of table time rather than just a hour of time at my office. My massages are usually scheduled with 15 minutes between them so you don't need to feel hurried to get out the door making the effects of the massage last longer.

If these prices don't work for you than feel free to email me to see if I have any reduced rate sessions available that month. I try very hard to balance the pricing between my expenses and keeping the services accessible. Unfortunately rent never goes down.....
My income is calculated based on not getting tipped so any tips I receive go toward funding the massage scholarships. I have had people tell me they can't come in because they can't afford to tip which should NEVER be a reason not to get a session. A review on yelp or any other social media is free and in many ways helps me more than any extra payment !
Here's some different styles I've been trained in. I usually use them all to varying degrees based on individual situations.
This is what you see in all the movies, it's a circulatory based model where all the strokes help return fluids back to the heart. It's good for reducing swelling and overall relaxation. Strokes move from the extremities toward the heart.
Some people also call this deep tissue. The intent is to address concerns of individual muscles using much shorter strokes than either integrative or swedish employ. Often but not always the pressure may be stronger depending on the body part.
Gua Sha (Scrapping, Coining):
This one is new and I'm just starting to get comfortable with it. In this model, localized inflammation caused by rubbing leads the body to pinpoint its healing resources. A side effect of this treatment is that it can cause bruising. This is similar to the Graston (TM) technique.
Range of motion/ Active and passive stretching:
Limbs that can't move well just lead to further problems. The body can for a while, use other muscles & limbs but that can lead to further injury. Range of motion involves moving the limb slowly in a an attempt to increase the quality of movement while stretching seeks to increase the total movement.
